Want to know Jesus?

Jesus said, “The person who has My commands and keeps them is the one who really loves Me; and whoever really loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I too will love him and will show, reveal, manifest Myself to him. I will let Myself be clearly seen by him and make Myself real to him.” John 14:21

How?

Jesus says, “Those whom I dearly and tenderly love, I tell their faults and convict and convince and reprove and chasten I discipline and instruct them. So be enthusiastic and in earnest and burning with zeal and repent – changing your mind and attitude,” Revelation 3:19

He wants you

Yes! Jesus also says, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears and listens to and heeds My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will eat with him, and he will eat with Me,” Revelation 3:20

What is the difference between knowing about Jesus and a personal relationship with Him?

We have all heard of various celebrities, politicians, and other famous individuals. We may even believe we know all about them. Would any of us claim this knowledge amounts to a personal relationship with that person? I hope not! I know about Brad Pitt, but we are not friends. Never met I’m afraid. Jesus makes clear that a relationship with you is what He desires!

Romans 10:9-11, “Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

¹⁰ For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation.

¹¹ The Scripture says, No man who believes in Him [who adheres to, relies on, and trusts in Him] will ever be put to shame or be disappointed.
